Practice Day: Saturday, November 7th (9 am - 4 pm)

Tuition: $400, includes all materials and Practice Day. Please inquire about sliding scale.

Alison Restak, LCSW, MT-BC is Assistant Director of EY Assist program at Ernst & Young (EY) in NYC that provides emotional health support and leading class wellbeing programs to US-based employees across the firm. A licensed clinical social worker, board-certified music therapist, and qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher, Alison incorporates mindfulness into all aspects of mental health and wellbeing programming at EY. Outside of EY, Alison facilitates mindfulness meditation groups and teaches MBSR classes in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Alison has been practicing mindfulness meditation since 2012. She completed MBSR 8-week course in 2014 and experienced numerous life changing benefits. She is continually inspired to share mindfulness with clients in a meaningful way. Alison completed MBSR teacher training at the University of Massachusetts Medical School Center for Mindfulness (CFM). She attended MBSR in Mind-Body Medicine in 2015, Nine-Day Practicum in Spring 2016, and Teacher Development Intensive (TDI) in Fall 2016.

Also a professional musician (harpist), Alison performs harp music, solo and with bands and chamber groups, for various special events across NYC (weddings, receptions, yoga classes, corporate functions, religious gatherings, and more).

Alison strongly believes in a holistic approach to emotional health interventions that emphasize mindfulness and the mind-body connection to promote increased self-awareness, acceptance and compassionate engagement with the world.
